3. Improper installation position of the check valve will cause the suction failure of the hydraulic pump with weak self-priming capacity, especially the hydraulic pump with small displacement.
4. It should be avoided to install the check valve directly at the outlet of the hydraulic pump, especially when the hydraulic pump is a high-pressure vane pump, high-pressure plunger pump, and screw pump.
5. If the check valve must be installed directly at the outlet of the hydraulic pump, necessary measures should be taken to prevent the hydraulic pump from suction failure.
6. When the hydraulic pump has a suction failure, you can loosen the exhaust plug to directly exhaust the air in the pump. If it is not enough, you can fill the pump with oil from the exhaust port.
7. Make the oil suction port of the hydraulic pump lower than the minimum level of the oil tank, so that the oil can automatically fill the pump body by its own weight.
8. Select check valves with small opening pressure.
9. There are many kinds of opening pressure of check valves. The applicable opening pressure should be selected according to the system’s functional requirements and should be as low as possible to reduce the pressure loss.
10. The opening pressure of the check valve for the back pressure function is high, which is usually determined by the back pressure value.
11. During normal operation, the working pressure of the check valve is lower than the rated working pressure of the check valve.
12. The flow through the check valve shall be within the rated flow range allowed by its diameter, and shall not cause large pressure loss.
13. When selecting check valves, in addition to selecting the opening pressure reasonably according to the needs, special attention should also be paid to matching the flow rate with the rated flow rate of the valve during operation.
14. When the flow through the check valve is far less than the rated flow, the check valve sometimes vibrates. The smaller the flow rate, the higher the opening pressure, and the more gas in the oil, the easier it is to produce vibration.
15. The leakage of the check valve in the locked state is very small or even zero.
